45 Families in Northern Gaza Receive Food Aid from Al-Khair Way and BMBU

Zaitouna, Northern Gaza — December 2024
Amid ongoing hardship in Gaza, a gesture of solidarity reached families in need through a humanitarian collaboration between Al-Khair Way Foundation and the Indonesian charity Baitul Maal Barakatul Ummah (BMBU). In December 2024, both organizations successfully distributed 45 food aid packages to vulnerable families in the Zaitouna area of Northern Gaza.

Each package contained essential food items commonly consumed in Palestinian households, including yardlong beans, green beans, hummus sauce, tea, crushed lentils, freekeh, bulgur rice, green peas, and macaroni. A total of 45 families were identified as beneficiaries, selected based on need and the impact of ongoing restrictions on food access.

This food distribution program is a reflection of cross-border humanitarian solidarity, from the people of Indonesia to the people of Palestine, and part of Al-Khair Way Foundation’s broader commitment to supporting communities affected by conflict and crisis.

"In times like this, even simple food packages can make a meaningful difference for families who have lost access to their most basic needs," said a field representative from Al-Khair Way. "This is our shared responsibility to humanity."

Looking ahead, both BMBU and Al-Khair Way plan to continue expanding their support efforts, with a focus on sustainable aid such as clean water, health services, and essential daily supplies.
